Hypoallergenic puppy foods??

Xiva's got little rashy bits on inside of her back legs, and tummy.

Before I go and get testing I want to make sure its not the food.

Skinners puppy isn't actually hypoallergenic, although it isn't full of cr@p.

So I want to try her on something that is just to rule it out.

I have no idea where to start looking, and its got to be something that doesn't break the bank! If it comes to it I will go to PAH or get Wainwrights delivered but if there is something my local pet shop can get it would be a bonus.

I'll need a list of foods to take to her to check in her stock books though.

Oh, I meant dry food btw.

Re: Hypoallergenic puppy foods??

She is on Skinners field and trial puppy. My big dogs eat field and trial hypoallergenic so she will be going onto that when she is old enough. She's only 15 weeks yet.

Re: Hypoallergenic puppy foods??

why not just put her on the adult skinners? you know my views on puppy food anyway so won`t go on again but i`ve had jake on skinners field & trial duck and rice since he was about 3/4 months old and all his problems cleared right up. puppy food is just a gimmick

i think vets kitchen in sainsburys do a hypoallergenic puppy food but not sure if it`s any good. tbh if you`re feeding the skinners to the older ones i`d just try her on it too

Oh, I meant dry food btw.
The Natural dog food company range of dried is truly hypoallergenic and I think its also hollistic certified too, one of the few dog foods that are.
The Natural Dog Food Company … where good health comes naturally

if you want a look at that. Kobi had it as a pup for awhile, and I also reeomended to a friend who has a Husky with an iffy stomach and it did the trick with theirs.

ETA my local pet shop didnt do it as a stock item but he used to order it for me too, or I think they will actually deliver direct too.

You could always put her on too adult hypoallergenic food?

A few brands I can think of although I'm not sure if the all do puppy-

I know the last one, whites premium does puppy although I'm not sure what people's opinions are on this food. -looks quite good to me, but I'm not great at looking at ingredient lists and judging if it's a good or bad food. Maybe you could have a look?

I think vets kitchen is also hypoallergenic, but again Ive never looked at the food itself so cant comment on quality. Also on the website it says they are stocked at selected Waitrose and Sainsbury's so might be worth a look?
