Im glad I have a medium dog because:

• She fits on my lap perfectly
• She is small enough I can pick her up if I need to
• She is big enough not many people dare pet her / approach with asking first (Scary Rot Colours!))
• She loves long walks and can always keep up - She also like 15 min ambles around the village
• She is confident enough to play with much larger dogs and gentle enough to play with the smallest of dogs

She is the most perfect size in every single way is my Millie :-)

I agree with all those. Plus;
-they will walk for miles every day but wont turn into hooligans if they dont get to.
-they fit in the sink when its bath time.
-they can be sneakily smuggled into more places then big dogs!
-they dont tend to scare as many people when just innocently walking down the street.
-you can walk multiples without worrying they could ever pull you over!

I'm glad I have big dogs because

* I don't have to bend much to stroke them
* People are little more wary which makes me feel safer
* Lot more dog to stroke/hug
* Can see where they are easily so less likely to trip over them
* There too big to squeeze through gaps cats can
* I don't worry about them getting stood on
* I can walk my 2 together and feel proud especially when i see a small dog pulling all over as owner can put up with it rather than train (quite a few round here).
* They can donate blood which helps all dogs

Other reasons are more breed specific so will leave them out.

I'm glad I have a small dog because:

- She's a perfect size to cuddle and small enough to carry if I need to
- She gives me the opportunity to show that not all small dogs are snappy
- She can sleep on my bed and sofa without taking up too much room
- Everything is cheaper than the big dog version!
- If her body matched the size of her personality she wouldn't fit in my house
- She suits my circumstances perfectly

Having said all that I do like bigger dogs too!

1. don't cost much to feed - a 15 kg bag of food lasts ages
2. small poops
3. they love snuggling
4. easy to take places
5. less time to groom / bath
6. don't take up much room in bed

i'm glad i have a big dog because feel safer with him in the house especially answering the door when i don't know who is there
