What have your dogs done to cheer you up today??
Was out walking along a path in the park with mine earlier when a guy on a bike came along. I hopped off the path and onto the grassy section (which had just been cut) next to it and called them over...
Heidi came straight away and Adam and Hannah took one look at me and ran back down the path towards the park entrance as fast as they could!!

I was in total shock that their recall had completely failed and they were both apparently running away! However when they got to the end they pulled a quick u turn and ran as fast as they could towards me!!
Turns out the cut grass all along the edge of the path had loads of sharp thistle and weed stems in it and they didnt want to hurt their paddy paws!!

Aaaw that is really cute

Bella is forever doing things that make me giggle. I was about to type something from last night, but she just popped her head our her travel box (she likes sleeping in it in the summer as it's too warm for couches or normal dog beds). ANyway, she popped her head out like a snail pops it head out its shell, or like a tortoise actually, just to check I was still here, and then pulled her head back in. Her half asleep expression is what made me giggle!

I got the dogs two bones last night and this morning Dottie was in the crate and Charlie was chewing his bone by the back door next to the crate. I was supervising them as obviously I dont want them to choke and also because Charlie is a little bugger with treats.

He follows Dottie about and tries to take her bone and have his, then curls his lip at Dottie if she walks past , he gives an air snap not an attack, none the less I sat there to ensure all was peaceful. Anyhow, Charlie had his back to Dottie, stood up, chomping away furiously, a bit of meaty bone had come off and was just by behind Charlies leg, Dottie with her big brown eyes, s...l.....o.....w......l.....y.... tip-toed, literally tip-toed! Out of the crate, DEAD silent, eyes watching Charlie all the time, she s....l.....o.....w.....l.....y opened her mouth, still watching Charlie, picked up the meaty bone piece and s....l......o......w.....l.......y...tip-toed backwards and back into the same position she was curled up in previous!

It was like something from a cartoon!

I let Bailey in the garden at 6.30 this morning when I got up. Went to call him in so that I could go get ready for work (he has started to dig a crater in my lawn so I wont leave him unattended) and he simply refused and stood looking at me like I was a party pooper.

I started to get a little grumpy because I was barely awake and really needed to get ready for work so I could walk him before going out…I decided it was time to get the treats out and use some bribery….
He came to the door for a sniff but still wouldn’t step all the way in. I dropped the treat in the middle of the floor and stepped back so he had to come in to get it…..turned away for 2 secs and when I looked back he had tip-toed across the kitchen floor grabbed the treat and was legging it back across the kitchen out of the door. Half of me was so mad because I was tired and in a rush, the other half just wanted to laugh and thought you cheeky little ****

Despite no longer having room for my feet under my desk..... everytime I look under there and get greeted by this duo eager for treats, I can not hep but grin!

They can smell the ginger nut biscuits, so are pretty on edge at the moment and will remain like this intil I either eat all the biscuits or I put them in a seperate room where they cant smell the biscuits!
