Re: ZOMG! Need some self restraint!

Millie has some Staff and Rot in her and was a Gumtree / Internet not wanted puppy.

There are always risks BUT it can work out, just be prepared that there COULd be a reason it is Free to a Good Home. Dont ever be scared / worried of what others may percieve a dog as because of it's breed though - I agree with Sailor - Rott / Staff's (And with possible other things in there in Millies case) are the best

Re: ZOMG! Need some self restraint!

Now I know why I do not look at Gumtree so many lovely dogs free (or cheap) I must resist I am not allowed another dog (unless I can convince Dad ). I think I saw the dog you are talking about and he is gorgeous looking although I would be a bit concerned that it says he has not to be homed with children there may be a good reason for this but it would put me off him and I do not have children - but neices / nephews visit.

Yes, sounds like him! The ad said not with children because he is hyper (and I imagine bouncy) but this wasn't too much of a concern for me as I have minimal contact with children and am wary of them with dogs anyway. But ah wells, I hope he found the right home.

Re: ZOMG! Need some self restraint!

I hope he got a good home. I missed the part about him being hyper as the page kept stalling (think IT are telling me to get on with my work ) that makes sense and would not have been much of a worry. There is a lovely dog around here (although not seen it for a little while) it is a rotti x chocolate lab and is chocolate brown but with the added marking and build of a rotti - it is really gorgeous I will not say the ones I was interested in as chances are Dad will say no but if I happen to appear on here with a new dog you know whos to blame

Aww, I nearly stole a Rottie the other day.
He was tied up outside a shop & had some epic puppy eyes going on.
