...today at Asda I spent £20 on make-up for myself!

I ONLY spent £2 on the dogs, a ham-bone each.

Am I ill?

Normally I spend every last penny on my dogs but when it comes to nice things for me I "Ummmm" and "eeeeerm"...but I actually bought myself some nice make-up! (for the times I'm not all hot and sweaty from dog walking)

I mean in the last month alone,I've bought the dogs a 3 Peaks Waterproof coat to wear, but wouldnt spend £18 on a coat for myself, high-quality meat and dry...where I live on junk and MacDonalds, more Kong tennis balls than you can imagine, I think Pets at Home went into liquidation when I didnt go out there last week...

I thought "Candice, treat yourself!" so I did and then at the till I though "Mmmmh maybe I should put this back..."

Bet you any money if they had £20 make-up for dogs (as you know, all dogs need make-up) I wouldnt think twice about buying it for my 2!

As everyone always says to me "Stop wasting your money on those dogs"
As long as I got it, my dogs will always have the best and I'm happy to settle for second best...and the occasional treat ;-)

I think you possibly might be The Worst Owner. Ever .

The people who usually tell me not to waste money on the dog are usually those who spank their money away daily on alcohol, cigarettes and takeaways. Nothing wrong with that if it makes them happy; but Kilo makes me happy and it's my money, my choice .

lol yesterday i didn't spend a penny on Tummel or myself....but i still managed to get him a juicy bone from the butchers If i go into a shop i have to force myself away from the pet section as i can't afford any new things right now(not that he's lacking in anything at the moment) for either of us(although i have a phone interview today so fingers crossed).

I could spend a fortune at Pets @ Home. Hubby only lets me go in if he's there to restrain me!

Same...if i worked there i'd never have any money although my OH is at work when i order from PAH online

Every time I go for the weekly shop, I have to walk past pets@home, because its on the route and thats the only route I can take

Its soo hard not to just pop in and have to buy the dogs something... and then I feel guilty because Billy the bird and Rosie the hamster aint got anything, so I get them something too.....

So as you can imagine, by the time I get to the supermarket for human stuff, I have even less of a budget than before

Poundland, QS, Poundwise, Wilkisons, Tescos, Asda, any small pet shop down town, any newsagents, Sainsburys, Iceland...ANY shop that has a dog section, well they will be laughing all the way to the bank

Our first port of call on shopping day is to buy the animal foods, dog food, cat food, rabbit food and parakeet mix. Then we buy the animal treats, then we buy the new leads, coats or whatever that the dogs need. Only after we have spent £60 or £70 at Noel's pet shop do we then go to Tesco to spend about £40 on our food. If there's anything left over after we have bought our food and paid the bills I start looking at buying more nice things for the dogs. All of our clothes etc are bought at the cheap shops like Matalan and Primark whlie allof there stuff is bought either online (made to measure) or from pets@home etc.

I think it's dreadful that you spent £20 on yourself that you could quite easily have spent on your lovely dogs. PMSL
