i`d LOVE to know how they`re gonna enforce it! it`ll never happen here, too many puppy farmers and byb`s who never see a vet with their dogs, too much land out in the sticks for these people to hide and continue breeding that way. they only way to actually do it would be to make it against the law to own a puppy that wasn`t chipped....wouldn`t combat 100% but would deter about 90% of people from buying a puppy knowing that if they went to the vet they`d be reported as it hadn`t been chipped

Looks like the final decision will be made in the autumn
Shame they can't stop puppy farms altogether - but lets hope the new legislation improves the lives of the dogs.
