Unhappy self-injury: ruining one's own neighborhood & bankrupting one's own services

these photos are awful images -
BBC News - London riots: Third night of unrest in pictures

i cannot imagine being evacuated or simply fleeing my house, with my pets, for who knows how long -
or what i would come back to, after the cordons were lifted.

even worse, just like the race-riots of the 1960s in the USA, most of the damage is being done
in their own neighborhoods - those are their neighbor's convenience stores & small greengrocers,
their own local phone-kiosks or pub or insurance-agent or realtor or beauty-salon. How will those people
re-open for business at all - & why would they want to re-open THERE again?

Just watched a video where some idiot looter was dragging around a clearly scared young staffie, there were so many people and so much noise, it was petrified as he was dragging it through a glass window to rob a tv. I have no words for this disgrace of humanity.
