these photos are awful images -
BBC News - London riots: Third night of unrest in pictures i cannot imagine being evacuated or simply fleeing my house, with my pets, for who knows how long - or what i would come back to, after the cordons were lifted. even worse, just like the race-riots of the 1960s in the USA, most of the damage is being done in their own neighborhoods - those are their neighbor's convenience stores & small greengrocers, their own local phone-kiosks or pub or insurance-agent or realtor or beauty-salon. How will those people re-open for business at all - & why would they want to re-open THERE again? |
