Pet plan excess

Im looking at going over to petplan(currently with morethan) but it seems the excess payable is only "revealed" once the policy is taken and is dependant on postcode

What the f@ck is that all about ?

Why cant they just state the excess up front?

Anyone with Petplan what is your excess and rough location ?

I smell a con.....or am i to suspicious

Re: Pet plan excess

I think you'll find all Pet Ins. the same as Car Ins. rate your policy with your post code.

We had Pet Plan when we had Amber, never again their prices are stupid.

Really??

I was strongly considering Petplan myself..... but I'm planning on going for a higher monthly premium and lower excess. This has put me off a bit, to say the least

Indeed, and i have no problem with it....but i provide my postcode at the time of quote so why not tell me what it is at the time of quote and not when ive signed up.....

If these f@cksticks cant give me the numbers at the time of quote they can can shove it up there "expensive" pipe

Re: Pet plan excess

I was going to go with Pet Plan, my boss is and her insurance is ridiculous, she use to have 3 dogs there, only 1 now, But I discovered I was cheaper going with the kennel club which was a shock to me.

Re: Pet plan excess

i just a few minutes ago bought pet plan insurance. mainly coz i found their site really easy to use and understand. my excess is £90, which is fine by me.
and it told me what it was before i had to commit to anything. it did ask for my info beforehand though.

i didnt think it was all that expensive either, its working out at 76p a day for kody for lifetime insurance, which is like the price of a bottle of juice! hardly something to cry over

Re: Pet plan excess

my pet plan excess is £90 and am in norfolk if thats any help. it was their reputation that made me choose them and after 5 years i can't fault them.
lets hope i haven't just jinxed my self. but i am stuck with them really due to 2 claims that won't be covered with another company as pre-existing conditions

Re: Pet plan excess

I am very happy with Petplan, I have the lifetime cover for both my cats, the excess is 70 pounds per cat. They have always been very helpful, and always pay out without fuss. They have paid out hundreds for my Ragdoll boy!

Re: Pet plan excess

Thanks all...im in Hertfordshire so i think £90 -£100 will be about right and ok with me...given that my excess with more than is £75 + 10 % which could get pricey if treatment is £5k plus
