Re: do i phone?

Phone, always good to bring your name back up. - what about looking at other rescue, possibly breed rescue or such? when you say puppy how old do you mean, under 6 months? - alot of rescues have long waiting lists for pups, so you might be right at the buttom?

i was hoping for on under but if i knew it was ok with my daughter and 3 cats i would adopt an older dog. my two fav breeds are mals and huskys. but alot of the rescue say not sutible. oh well will keep looking. i may go to a breeder but wanted to try to get a puppy/dog that had a bad start and needed loving.

Re: do i phone?

they will keep your name on file for about 3months (if they dont hear from u again in that time, they will dispose of the file, unless u keep in contact - i think thats how it works anyway) but it wouldnt do any harm to phone to let them know that you are still interested.
of all the litters that we have had in since iv worked there, theres never been a purebred litter. its usually a mishmash of breeds. but you never know what can turn up!
you could always try breed specific rescues. huskies and mals are not easy dogs though, so hope you've done looooooads of research!

Re: do i phone?

I wouldn't get a Mal or Husky with cats in the house, sorry but that's just me...

Edit: Also I really don't mean to be rude but on your other thread you said you didn't really know about any breed traits or "pedigree needs" so if I were you I would really consider doing a lot of research if you do decide to get any of the more primitive breeds in the future. If the Dogs Trust are ok with your situation regarding having a young child and cats then maybe they are just waiting for the right dog for your situation to come in ?

i like those breeds. but i tend to go for the hinze 57 the ones you feel sorry for ie 3 leggs 1 eye ect. its true i havent heard of half the breeds on this site ive only ever had the x breeds but if a dog/ puppy needs a home ive got a loving 1 here.

Re: do i phone?

Most mals are fine with cats but it's sibes I would be more wary of with cats.

I say go for it and good luck
