Fast...But....Should I?...How?

Bess is a really fast dog and is quite agile. I have never seen her run her fastest, but from what i have seen and with good traning she could be an excellent racer. She is quick and agile she can turn on a six pence. Seriously she could run through a forest at 100 mph and not crash into anything. She is also a very good jumper, from sitting position she can jump about 2-3 feet. Considering she is about a foot maybe slightly bigger tall. I don't know whether i want to do agility with her. I think doing an activity would really strenghten our bond to inseprable, really do us both good, but i don't have a clue how to go about it. I could ask my dad or any of his friends, but dad wouldn't have time and his friends i see like 4 times a year So i am completeley bummed out on what to do.
If anyone here races terriers or teaches agility i would love to talk to you. Bearing in ind Bess is quite wary and doesn't really take too well to learning things, although that is just down to her thinking something bad will happen if she gets it wrong. Her old owner used to hither if she did get it wrong. So it kinda makes it a little bit harder for me. Does anyone know what to do? Can anyone give me a detailed plan and instructions on what to do? If so reply to this thread

Thanks

Chloe and her potential star Bess

x

Re: Fast...But....Should I?...How?

my lot absolutly love racing as you can see in my signature ,weve been lucky enough to join up with a group of lurcher ppl who are serious about racing ,mine now do simulated coursing long jump and speed jumping ,best thing for you is when you go to living heritage shows make sure you get over to lurcher world they offer a full program for terriers as well .and as ive mentioned before chase the bunny in the main ring ,have a look on lure coursing forums for whippets they give advice as to how to start pups off
