Dog showing, what papers do I need?

Hey, after sending my irish stud book info on my greyhound to the kennel club to register her I have now had a "owner registration" form back. I want to take my dog to championship qualifying shows but how do I go about doing this? And what documents will I need? Any advice I will be grateful for :-) x

Re: Dog showing, what papers do I need?

Thats all you need, the 'A' number is what you will need to fill in the entry forms for shows
HTH
Whereabouts are you, what champ shows are you thinking of going to?
Cassia likes this.

Re: Dog showing, what papers do I need?

Ah I see you are in west sussex
You have shows near you in Ardingly (open shows)
and Maidstone (open again)

Unfortunately you have missed the entries for Richmond champ show.
Its getting quite late in the season now for Champ shows.
There is Midlands Champ Show in October and Ladies Kennel Association in December

Also presumably there is Greyhound Club shows, (defo become a member of your club) you may have missed them but its worth noting them for next year.

Yes
So how did it work out with her name? Did you get one or choose one? did she have an original one I presume? How exciting

I would recommend a ringcraft club to help you get into it all
Also there's a couple of good books about showing on amazon if you like reading

Re: Dog showing, what papers do I need?

If you have now registered her with the UK KC then you don't need an ATC number to as she will now have a KC registration number. You just need to use that.
