worried about rio

ok rio has been unwell for a few days and i had her booked in the vets monday. however i am now thinking i need to take her now. lucky my vet is only 5min away and its an emergancy vet.

she hasnt eaten for 2 days although she has been drinking very bad belly im not kidding its like water (sorry) and not moving around much.

yesterday she walked around and manage to play with lexi outside

today i had to carry her down stairs to the toilet (i live in a flat) when i put her on the grass she went to the toilet then went an lay down after lexi hd finished i had to carry her back up as she wouldnt move. she had a drink then went to the sette. she has been there since 1030 this morning.

also her gums are pale.

yeah reading as im typing theres no question

im callin the vet

Best of luck with the vets - I hope they can sort her out.

Re: worried about rio

just got back from vets

she is VERY dehydrated (sp?) gave her some injections antibi ect took some blood but looks like she has an infection of some sort.

she managed to walk from the car to the flat (although very slowly) and had a small drink and is now back on the chair.

still wont eat. even cooked some chicken and turned away from it

vet said to bring her back if no improvement or she get worse. but cant help fearing the worst. shes not rio if that makes sense.

think im gonna lose her

Re: worried about rio

Sorry it wasn't more positive - don't give up yet though.
Hopefully the injections will start to work.
Is she drinking a little more?

Hope Rio is feeling better soon, if the vet was so concerned he'd have kept her in.
