Ok, if you knew your reply was going to sound rude, then why did you bother? Are you just trying to wind us pro small dog people up even further? Ok maybe I was a fool to read this thread, or at the least a "bit silly ". Maybe next time I should take your advice and not bother! Maybe the thread should have been titled "not to be read by small dog owners" then those of us pro small dog owners who did read it would have been really "silly".

It is encouraging unnecessary divisions among dog owners when these are completely unnecessary. Whatever some people think we ARE all dog owners and maybe should all be on the same side!

And a bit of diplomacy never hurt anyone.

Re: this will upset people

What I find a bit rude & silly are members who have hardly been posting for five minutes coming along and telling other members who have been posting for years that they shouldn't be reading threads if they find them upsetting

Anyone can post any thread they want regardless of how much it upsets people so long as it doesn't break the rules and if you're upset it's equally ok to speak your mind, after all that's what freedom of speech is all about.

I try not to argue and usually ignore posts and threads that offend me because I can understand that not everyone sees the world the same as me. That said I love it here because of all the lively debate so carry on PFers

I said I was sorry if it did seem rude to you, not that it was meant to. Yes, I agree, a bit of diplomacy would have been better, but it's someone’s opinion, whether right or wrong. Rising to it and posting a passive aggressive responce just gets you more keyed up! Especially since they bothered to create a thread about it. It's obvious they're set in their ways

I don't particularly agree with the OP, although I do see his point in some aspects--I have noticed that some small dog owners let their dogs get away with everything. You'd have to go back and read my post about that dog attacking my puppy to see why I think that--. However, I believe that it's all down to the owner and how the dog is trained. An experienced, caring small dog owner would understand that a dog is still a dog, and it requires proper training and care due attention, unlike some, say Paris Hilton to avoid pointing fingers at people that actually matter, that think it's a toy to be dressed up and then left to its own devices. But I hold nothing against small dogs at all. Some are downright adorable!
