Angry HobMoor

Do any of you people take your dog's to Hob moor? I do because i live about three mins away. If you do have you ever noticed the giant swamps they have near a big round tree and the bench? It drives me mad! Everytime i walk near there Tia has to run through it getting the bottom part of her all wet and smelly, this means i have to walk her around the whole of HM with nearly every flippin' fly in the world following us. Also she has a habit of barking at the cows when they are grazing there. I never know when the cows are there because sometimes its just for a week sometimes just a couple days. Also the cows follow Tia wondering what she is. So i have a bunch of flys and cows following me and Tia. AND then when we have our nice British hot/warm days they are attracted to the heat in your head so i walk around with a bunch of flys above me behind me or accompanied with a herd of cows!
Ramble over

So tell me, Does this happen to you?

Re: HobMoor

I used to live in York, and if it wasn't for the fact that there was a huge public outcry years ago to ensure it was kept as free land which comes with grazing rights, the council would have sneakily nicked it to build yet more houses on. So, although it gets swampy, and has a few cows on for part of the year, you have to be glad it's still there

Also, just for historical interest, it was used as a golf course for many years, hence some of the bunker type features. Not sure how the golfers managed with cows on there
