Re: Proud Day

Aww bless him, it's so funny when they start to do this but it does make you feel like a proud parent.

Re: Proud Day

How old is he? My golden retriever didn't do this until 10 months of age but my flatcoated retriever first did at 4 1/2 months. I was so amazed I said to my neighbour (who is not a dog person) "Did you just see that?" and he looked at me as though I was barking mad!!!!

Re: Proud Day

Kilo used to use a bush or something to prop his leg up and then started doing it occasionally all by himself. About 3 weeks ago he discovered how it was done properly...and you would think he had invented the concept he is so proud now .

Re: Proud Day

I know just how you feel the first time Dillon lifted his leg I couldn't wait to get home and tell OH.

He's getting good at it now but the other day he lifted his leg so high he nearly did the splits and the leg on the ground collapsed and he sort of sat down with wee going in all directions.
