Sorry I didnt update last night, but OMG I was tired lol

Ace arrived with my friend at about 6pm yesterday and we introduced them on leads in the back garden.
Salior was beside himself with excitement... can you imagine lol a dog actually came to his house

My friend commented on how placid and calm a dog Ace was... and then when we let the dogs to play in the back garden, it was just one massive hump fest honestly it was relentless! At one point I was thinking I should just seperate them and let things cool down before the neighbours phoned the RSPCA or something lol

But after about 2 hours of hump chase, and lots of growls and snaps from Ace, but lots of play bows and drool from Sailor, both dogs settled down and I think its safe to say Ace is now top dog here!!! But Sailor is still happy

Over night I left both dogs in the kitchen to sleep and Ace stole Sailors crate but they were fine with each other.
I could hear Sailor walking to his crate and Ace quietly growling at him to go away I felt soo sorry for poor Sailor.
After an hour, Ace wondered up stairs with Sailor following him. So I took them both down, let them out for a bed time loo break and then put Sailor in the kitchen and Ace in the front room, shut the doors and went to put.
Not a peep was heard at all and by 7am, I went down to let them both out for loo breaks, with Sailor in the kitchen still, using the back door... and Ace in the front room, using the front door!
But poor Ace was soo groggy and his legs were clearly aching alot, from over doing things yesterday I imagine.

But after abit of help, he was up and out.

Then when I thought Ace was more awake and stead I let them both join each other again and Ace spent nearly all morning in his bed out in the back garden, just relaxing, while Sailor circled him play bowing and air humping but by lunch time, they were both happy and playing just fine.

Ace knows sit/stay and paw. but cant seem to get any other commands/tricks to work. And he will only do these commands if he thinks he really has to! He is stubborn lol

Riht now, I am at my desk, with Ace fast asleep wrapped round my feet and Sailor is pacing around waiting for his buddy to play again and keeps looking up at me, as if to say ... mom his broke!!!

We are all tired... except Sailor... who still wants to play, so have to take him for a lunchtime run with out Ace to burn off his energy, so Ace can cope with him better

Oh gawd, here I go again all filling up. Honestly these threads have turned me into a great big blubbering wally, don't know how i've become such a sap!

Sailor looks soooo happy, look at that smile - bless him how lovely to accept a strange dog just like that eh? and what they say about Staffs, no way would any one of my Mals have taken to a strange dog coming in the house like that I can tell you. He's a real treasure isn't he? Ace looks gorgeous too and you can see the happiness in his eyes, bet in a day or so things will quieten down and everything will be a bit more normal once they realise they are now best buds for good.

So glad it's working out okay and even more glad that Ace has a lovely family for ever and a bezzie mate to call his own. Give them both a big hug from me.

All my children have paws!

They both look chuffed to bits hope they settle down together a bit more and Sailor realises Ace is just a bit old

They look so happy together!

I'm glad everything's worked out for them both, I'm sure they will be inseparable soon enough!

Ace is gorgeous (as is sailor ) and I'm soo happy you provided him with a lovely family home!
