Re: Ace is finally home and happy !

So glad its all working out so well - so glad he got his forever home!

I can see staffie in some piccies but not others. I did think he looked a bit like mums dog who we thought was maybe lab collie when younger but now older looks alot more shepherdy with the ears etc.... the vet was always adamant he had staffie in him but we can't see it.

Re: Ace is finally home and happy !

Aw I'm so happy they're getting on. It's wonderful to finally see some pictures

Welcome home Ace

I hope it all continues to go well for you. I thought he was a lab/collie type mix by the photos and can't see any staffie

Such sweet dogs
Your Moms dog does look like there is a touch of staffie in there, his head looks broad.
Mind saying that, in all photos of Ace, he head looks broad and large, but in reality, his head is rather long and slender. ( or to me thats how his head looks! best get the glasses on and look again )

He had a very long after noon nap, lasting hours!
Now his out in the back again, playing with his toys and telling Sailor to bog off .. he really doesnt like sharing his toys lol Sailor doesnt even want the toy, he just wants to play chase, bless

Re: Ace is finally home and happy !

I'm really glad Ace is now home. Bless Sailor, he's just so enthusiastic!!!

I can definitely see collie in Ace, he reminds me a bit of my collie boy.

I love the pictures, they really look like a pair!

I know they are probably being hugged to death but I'm going to send some more hugs to them and you to add to the pile!

Well done for saving Ace!!!!

Re: Ace is finally home and happy !

Well it would appear Ace has now recovered from meeting Sailor for the first time
He woke up this morning full of beans and even tried to jump on my bed, which was a complete fail, because my bed is higher than an average one lol
He is also walking up and down the stairs much faster.

Yesterday was sepnt with only slow walks aroud the block without Sailor to keep his legs moving, but today we managed to go for a walk to the fields, but I forgot my camera mind both dogs were kept on leads the whole time and we only walked around the outskirts of the field, but you could see Ace really loved being out on a field, his tail was up and wagging majority of the way round.

Sailor was his usual over enthusiastic self and kept whiining and lunging everytime Ace was ahead of him

But on a whle it went really well and my Daughter who is 8 manage to hold Ace for the entire walk... every so often Ace walked alittle too fast for her,but she was OK with him and she really did over use the word "heel" lol

Will make sure I take camera next time I walk over the fields
