Re: Frontline...i thought it was meant to work :(

Fles could well be in the household environment which means you will have to treat the house itself.

We have found the same problem, so moving Piper onto Prac-tic. do the house regularly too (and obv the cats) and have now started washing piper regularly with a tea-tree shampoo. can't hurt!

Sorry for not posting sooner, We were at the vets last night and it definately not flea's. He throughly checked her over and there was nothing to be found. He has put the scratching down to either the hot weather recently or a slight allergic reaction to grass pollen or similar.
So I guess the frontline is doing the job.

I am now thinking my bites are midgie bites or similar. on the plus side Molly is doing very well, he had noticed a big change in her since April and she has put 3 kgs on and is in optimum condition. Shame the same can't be said about the owner

oh yeah and i second using indorex on the house, spray it into every single little nook and cranny especially in warm areas such as under the radiators and corners
Couple of points frontline is available for sale in pet stores because it has been de-classified to a NFA-VPS non food animal -vetenary, pharmacist or suitably qualified person. This is not because it's "junk" but because it has been around for years and there are millions of examples af it's safe and effective use so regulatory bodies deem it safe enough for people less trained than vets to be able to prescribe it. Advocate is at a similar stage but as of now Bayer have decided not to make this available to non vets. Also panacur has been around donkeys years and is still a fantastic product. Drontal is also a NFA-VPS but again is a fantastic product.

Also a particular johnsons Product is great for fleas in the environment as it contains a IGR as many others like acclaim. Also ones like wipe out and skoosh likk all stages of the flea cycle including pupae.

I used Frontline on my previous dog - he shook himself straight after putting it on and it splashed on the door, it bubbled the paint
