Re: Sammy Bit Again!

There may be a change in pigment colour to the skin when it heals, one of my rescues had a little place on her nose when I got her long healed and ok but there was a difference in the colour because of lack of pigment in the healed skin.

Hard to tell in photo doesnt look deep? There is bacteria in dogs mouths though so I would flush it with something like cooled boiled water with a little salt in it and make sure its clean. Any swelling though or discharge then he may need antibiotics. Thats of course assuming its not deeper than it looks.seems on the photo.

Nah its not deep at all to be fair think it hurt his pride more than anything else lol

What im wondering is why is he getting a tendency to get bitten especially by smaller dogs and he doesnt even retaliate. He just comes and sits behind me lol He sure dont act like an Akita!

Re: Sammy Bit Again!

Poor boy, hope it doesn't cause him too much trouble.

Have heard that Akita's Mal's and Sibes have a tendency to get bitten as they have a dominant posture - ears and tails erect, so that's prob why your poor boy keeps getting picked on. Worrying really because as he gets older he may get a bit miffed with it all and give a dog what for.

Re: Sammy Bit Again!

Knock up a first aid kit of vet wrap, hibiscrub, animalintex (like padding). All available on eBay or your local tack shop.

Poor lad. Bloody springers!
