Re: Happy tail
Don't bandage her tail. The best thing is if you can get hold of an old hair curler the type with the holes in them. Thread her tail through the curler and tape it so that it covers the wound. This will protect the injury but will allow the air to get to it to allow it to heal.
It is a common injury in greyhounds and lurchers my whippets have also had injuries to their tails from hitting the all when they have wagged them. Bandit did it once he ran down the stairs truned the corner at the bottom and bashed his tail on the wall. It looked like a scene from CSI ![]() |

![]() My vet has said to bandage it loosely and use cotton wooll on top of the dressing to prevent her banging it again and making it worse. She said take the bandage of on walks so it can get some air then. She's got a lurcher and said this works for hers.. Thanks for all the advice, if I had a hair curler I'd give it a try.

Re: Happy tail
I found a metacam syringe and I'm put that on the end of her tail now. It doesn't half come keen when she catches your legs
