Two for two!

Two balls in two days Indi has left on our walks!
He's ball obsessed and I prefer him taking a ball as he's lately taken to picking up sticks or rocks.
He left one in long grass somewhere. He was so upset we couldn't find it. It was a kong squeaky one his favourite
And today he lost a red tennis ball that has rolled through the holes in the sea wall!

Think imm going to have to start taking the ball thrower just so I have some way to carry it or catch like I needed today Had to watch it float then sink.

Re: Two for two!

Willow loses many a ball, mainly in the water when she gets distracted and conveniently forgets to go and get it!!

Re: Two for two!

It's the way he looks at me like I've made it disappear. Especially today when it rolled through the little hole on it's adventure out to sea! On the ploys side we met the most gorgeous fluffy oes called masie.

So off to p@h tomorrow for replacements. Good job it's been pay day

The worst thing is Willow loses the ball but its Percy who looks all upset!!
The other week she nearly lost a ball on a rope and I thought thats it Im not watching another fiver go out to sea, so I sttached together 4 leads, a long line and a stick and fished it back in!!
We love those sqeaky kong ones too

Re: Two for two!

We had a ball on a rope. It was meant for walk only but he stole it, got the rope stuck under a door and chewed the ball free.
Think I'll have to get a couple of the three packs of squeaky ones and hide them for emergencies.

Oh Dear - It can get expensive.

Zipper dropped his ball in the river today and wouldn't go and get it he just kept looking for a way to get to his ball without getting his feet wet as the ball floated further away.
Luckily a lovely springer spaniel came passed and fetched it out for us

Re: Two for two!

I don't think Indi would have minded the swim to get it back but there was no chance of him going in the north sea today. I think I'm going to have to get lots of the cheap 3for a £1 ones for walks I dont mind losing them but the squeaky ones would start mounting up

Just after a couple of days of picking up stick I do not fancy a trip to the vets and he doesn't 'leave' as well outside.

Re: Two for two!

Balls are expensive when they're lost, so I put a punctured tennis ball, inside a knotted sock. It does two things; the sock holds my scent, making it easier to find in long grass etc. and, if it's not brought back, it's cost pence. It's also recycling the old odd socks that seem to come out of the washing machine!
