Yep I know its flown by but Ziva is now 6 months old!!

We still have our ups and downs and everyday is still a challenge!

Today when getting out of the car our next door neighbour came out with their dog so I let them get out of range and then got her out and yep you guess it she shot up the drive out in tot he middle of our cul de sac to see them.

Yesterday somehow at some point whilst sleeping she scratched her eye so she's on drops atm so thats nice and fun

She's desperate for a proper doggy playmate we can meet up with every other week say but its not easy finding any round Kidderminster that actually wanna play rather than sniff n be miserable

oh the joys of ridgebacks...hope you find a doggie playmate for her soon...ridgebacks can play very rough but they are fun to watch...love taking my three out to the fields where they can run to their hearts content...my three also love to swim...and like all ridgebacks they cant resist a muddy puddle...lol

I can't believe she's 6 months already...only feels like a few weeks since you got her

I can sympathise with the dog chasing, she will grow out of it in time, in the meanwhile why don't you put a lead on her before letting her out just in case this happens again...i have a fenced garden but always make sure Tummel has a lead on when getting out of the car as he could jump the wall/gates if he wasn't such a pansy

Ridgebacks love muddy puddles?? That explains a lot Tummel will lie in the biggest, muddiest puddle and stick his head into it to have a nose around in case of sticks then he kindly finds the least muddies puddle and rolls around in that so he's cleaner...but seeing as he's black mud doesn't often show anyway

Forgot to say....if you want to move to Fife Tummel can be Ziva's buddy and what ridgeback05 says about rough isn't half true...Tummel and his best bud Keiller(a lab) literally spend hours battering each other and they love it

I wish we lived closer I think Zimba would love her. Zimba seemed to change from being very hard work to calm overnight. I think it was at about a year or so.

I don't think Zimba is a 'proper' Ridgeback he hates puddles, you should see the horror if he has to walk on wet grass.

yeah she loves nothing more than chasing or being chased, and she certainly tells the other dogs if they're boring, running around them barking at them in fact.

Only pictures I've got are ones I've taken along the geocaching way so I'll have a look through them!
