Re: OMG! Rottweiler Possessed over the baby

My Rottie does this and She is far from aggressive. My rottie is very talkative but most people think she is growling but couldn't be further from the truth. I guess you have to own a rottie to understand the talk.

Re: OMG! Rottweiler Possessed over the baby

Sorry just rewatched and no this aint normal rottie talk. the dog is protecting the baby from the owner and that is wrong. Although I don't believe the dog is being aggressive Its gurarding but that doesn't make it right.

Re: OMG! Rottweiler Possessed over the baby

I do think it's wrong. i would never allow my dogs to act like this, BUT I don't think the dog is being aggressive that's all I was saying. Guarding and being aggressive are two completly different things. A GOOD guard dog is NEVER aggressive.

Re: OMG! Rottweiler Possessed over the baby

I have a friend who has a Staff and a Rotti and they will protect his little son, if you go round the house they both sit near/next to him and will not let you approach until the owner allows you. He has great control over his dog though and they are very well behaved.

The video itself is a little scary but you have to remember with youtube that a lot of the things on it are staged also I don't know if I'm watching it on a computer with poor sound but sometimes it sounds like the noise isn't coming from the dog but from behind the camera.

That video makes me deeply uncomfortable, whatever the dog is doing, it doesn't look like something to be encouraged
