How rude
There is a couple with 2 old male Staffies and a very young female pit bull who walk on the same park as me. Bizkit is not keen on one of the dogs and he once chased the pit bull when she was a pup so I avoid them.
I got to the park and I went past them on the entry road where they were getting their dogs out of the van. The dogs never wear collars or have leads with them so they can only control them by shouting. I was locking up my bike inside the gate out of sight of the owners when the two males came running into the park up to us and I told them to go away. I had kept mine on their leads to prevent any bother. Their Pit Bull wouldn't come onto the field so the couple were both still by the van trying to get her to move. Then a few seconds later I could hear a dog fight and I looked around and one of the male staffies was fighting with Cody, my friend's Malamute. Cody was on his lead and his owner looked terrified so I spoke to the Staffie owner who wasn't looking at her two dogs running around the field. I said 'hey one of your dogs is attacking Cody.' She snapped 'he's not attacking Cody, Cody would have started it!' I said 'I'm not accusing you or your dog of anything, I'm just telling you because you hadn't noticed that he's having a fight with Cody and I thought you would want to stop him.' Then she had the cheek to shout at me, 'Well my other dog won't come onto the park because she's scared of Bizkit so it's all your fault it happened!' I just said 'It's not my problem I was just trying to help.' and walked off over to my friends and their dogs. My friend was really upset even though Cody was fine she was a bit shaken up. I really felt for her, she's just finished chemotherapy and isn't as strong as she was. The couple put their dogs back in the van and screeched off. On the way they stopped their van and told my other friend not to take her dog on the park because I was kicking off and had started on her and the fight was all my fault. Some people just make my blood boil. ![]()
