Anybody got a spinner or a bouncer??

Im sure you dont....you probably have perfectly behaved doglets with no excitable behaviour, totally calm right??

Not Heidi! Bless her, she has no impulse control at all.She can do a sit for about 3 seconds before her bum is up off the ground and if she is excited she tends to bounce up and down in front of you like she's on an invisible pogo stick!!
Also when you mention dinner she runs in front of you spinning round and round and round.......and round til you get dizzy watching.

Anymore Tigger-esque dogs on the forum???

Re: Anybody got a spinner or a bouncer??

Indie spins, and 30kgs of Labrador hitting you in the knees is very likely to land you on your back. She does it when you're chucking a ball for a free retrieve, so it's wise to take a step or two back at that point!

Tau is a tigger when it comes to meal time, she jumps up and down in anticipation of being fed, despite always being told not to!

Re: Anybody got a spinner or a bouncer??

Suki and Bailey are both very Tigger like..
Suki when excited wags her tail and bum so much, I'm sure she will have hip problems when she is older and Bailey will jump around like Tigger. we are sure he is a Beddie x Kangaroo...

Weirdly I never imagine bigger dogs being spinners or bouncers..
Probably because of the mayhem they could cause!!LOL

Re: Anybody got a spinner or a bouncer??

Aww, bless! Kilo looks like he is having such fun!
Im always immpressed by heidi's Tigger skills as she can reach midthigh height when jumping which isnt bad when your about 6ins tall! (she's also my only dog that can scale the outdoor cat climbing frame to peak over next doors wall!!)

Ignore the bouncing by removing your self from the room, when she is calm return. If she kicks off agian turn around and walk out the room. Close the door behind you.
Like wise with the dinner bowl, hold the bowl until she is calm when she is calm and sitting and has been for a while put the bowl down and release her to eat it. Doesn't matter how long it takes, have the mind set to be firm.

Re: Anybody got a spinner or a bouncer??

My old boy Grufty was a bouncer,he loved to bounce in front of me and he could jump up and lick my nose from a standing start. My friend nicknamed him the harrier jump dog.

None of my dogs bounce now, I miss him boinging away
