Re: Best Dogs Walks and Why?

What's the website that you can type your postcode into.

We're lucky down here in Devon that we have sooooo much countryside. I love winter walks best as there tends to be less people around so we can walk for ages without having to be on guard so much.

Opposite where I live is a big woods which is a lovely and Zac loves to go foraging and snuffling through it.

Re: Best Dogs Walks and Why?

I love being on beaches, most beaches are fine with me and Tummel loves to have space to run/splash at will

I haven't been with Tummel but Tentsmuir beach in Fife is amazing for dogs, the beach is by far the biggest i've ever seen both length and width wise and theres mile after mile of forest walks too if your dog isn't a beachy dog

Another place grand for dog walking is the castle grounds in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, again haven't been with Tummel but i grew up across the road from it and we used to spend hours with the family lab running around and having fun Actually most of Lewis is great for dog walking

Re: Best Dogs Walks and Why?

Can't find anything decent on both sites near me in Southend and surrounding area's. Have just e mailed the council to see if they have a book on public footpaths in and around this area. There are lots round here but not many you can drive to and park so I want to find out where I can park up too.

I know there are woods I could walk in but don't want to encounter anyone else and their dogs so just want a lovely quiet walk with the dogs alone. If anyone in Essex (near Southend etc) knows of a nice walk i'd be interested to know.
