really?
There's no such thing as a "Crufts Champion" - obviously a dog can win the Challenge Certificate (CC aka Ticket) at Crufts and already be, or go on to be, a Champion
Bearing in mind Crufts is only held once a year -to have 28 dogs in a pedigree that have gone BOB at Crufts in a 5 generation pedigree would be going some - or have some very tight linebreeding (I am not going to claim to be an expert on Beagles pedigrees, but I wouldn't have thought the gene pool was overly small).
A dog has to win three CC's under three separate judges to become a Show Champion (or Champion dependent on it's stud book band).
The closest thing I suppose you could refer to as a "Crufts Champion" is the dog taking BIS at Crufts - but they do not have to be, and may never become, a Champion (unlikely as winning Crufts really is the pinnacle of a show dogs career - but still technically possible) - but don't forget - only one dog out of thousands from across the world can win it each year.
My first show girl's both grandfathers took BOB at Crufts, (one twice - the other had the reserve ticket as a puppy the year before) - one of them also going on to win the GD group - so getting into the final 7 (no mean feat).
Her pedigree looks fabulous on paper, her mother finished her show career one ticket off a full champion, and 7 reserve tickets, her dad has one ticket and a number of reserve tickets - she's a fab girl, and she's been a good showdog for me, but for a number of reasons, she will never be bred from - so whilst what is in the pedigree is, to a certain extent, relevant, it's not enough on it's own - and bitches, by the very nature of how many litters they can have in a lifetime, can have far less impact on a breed than a male.
