2 days ago i had 2 women come to my door asking about our puppies,how they knew about them i don't know...anyway i told them we have none for sale and they left...later that evening my husband popped out and left our dogs in the back garden with the door open,i was in the living room in my wheelchair unable to go and get them in...i heard the dogs barking asthough we had visitors,i heard the gates open and close but nobody showed...when my husband came home 15 mins later he discovered 2 of our dogs missing
1 has recently had puppies and the other was her baby boy,8 weeks old
Obviously the police were called and they said there have been other incidents recently involving travellers stealing puppies.
I am absolutley devastated and worried sick...my poor babies will be so scared i'm sure.
Mum is chipped but the baby isnt...whats the chances of us getting them back? because at the moment i feel i will never see them again

That is heart breaking . Have you registered with Dogslost, put up posters etc?

How awful, yes register with dog lost, call dog warden, all shelters and vets etc and defiantly get some posters out

Make these dogs waaay too hot to handle! Post them stolen on Dog Lost, put posters up everywhere including local vets. Contact your local Travelor Liason Officer - contact details should be on your council website.

Post pictures of these dogs everywhere, every free site (friday-ad etc) and contact your local newspaper and radio station. Contact the microchip company and report them as stolen.

The more you publish these dogs were stolen the more likely it is you will get them back.

Oh my, how awful a thing to happen. Some peoples complete disregard of other peoples property, is so mind numbing it makes me so angry. Your poor babies. I have everything crossed that you get them back safe and sound. How dare someone just enter a property and take what doesnt belong to them.

What some people will do is beyond belief, I do hope that you get the dogs back safely and quicky.

What sort of dogs were they and where were they stolen from ?

I am so sorry you have had to face this shock and heartbreak, the only thing I can think of is to get the information out there that they have been stolen as much as you can and a description, Posters, dog warden, vets, dog lost, battersea run a lost and found service, dont know if the other larger dogs homes do. but you can certain register with battersea you never know. The wider area the better. Dog magazines, Dogs Today often feature lost and stolen dogs, maybe the others would too. You never know too someone might have seen them leave and at least got a make and colour of vehicle, who otherwise would have just assumed its the owners and their dogs if they dont know better.

You may well have done a lot of this anyway, but just in case there is any ideas you havent, being microchipped will help I would have thought. I really hope you get some news and find them.

Have you put them on Dogslost?

If I were you I'd put posters and pictures up EVERYWHERE! vets, free ad sites (gumtree, preloved..etc..) Local newspaper, shop windows, car windows and anywhere else you can think of.

Also contact everyone, local shelters, vets, newspapers etc..

And post posters through doors?
