Re: Police set a fine example - I think NOT

I know the police officer that did this and yes it is the one on facebook!!

Those poor dogs looked so scared and upset. why do people want to do this to an animal that is so friendly and loyal.

I do hope that the get what they deserve.

And just to let you know all police officers are not the same, as with all jobs you get the few that make the good ones look bad.

If they dont lose their jobs i think they should work with the police dog handlers, they love their dogs like a human. If they try to mistreat police dogs i think there will be two police officers in hospital and maybe not from the dog but the handler.

just on another note is it normal for my do to look for shadows or is she mad??

This does not surprise me at all

I picked up a beautiful dog on a couple of occasions that I found wondering the streets. When I handed him into the police station I was informed that it actually belonged to a police officer!

I later heard that the dog was unwanted, hence being turfed out each day

They cant fight back or tell anyone about the abuse, thats why. The same as people who abuse small children, its a 'power' thing.
They are cowards really, confronted with the same treatment themselves they would run a mile mad:

My father is a traffic cop and he treated our german shepard boston better than me LOL used to get all the good treats

I hope they get what they deserve but it is a sad truth the law doesnt always see correctly when it comes to fellow officers

Re: Police set a fine example - I think NOT

Unfortunately this sort of treatment of animals is all to common.
I assume they like dogs, or why else would they have two of them?
I think what commonly happens is that people get frustrated with the animal when it doesn't behave in the required why. I expect this sort of inpatient frustration goes into other areas of their lives.

You would think that these two professional people would have the intelligence to get some help in understanding how to care for their dogs, so I can only assume that they took some pleasure out of being cruel to these dogs.

Hopefully they will be sacked from there jobs as the evidence shows at the very least that they are not rational people and so really not suitable to serve the public and uphold the law.
I'm also hoping they will be banned from keeping pets.
