Smile Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

Many dogs love to be walked and many joggers love to take their dogs with them. Unfortunately many runners have dogs with little legs that cannot keep up. For them dog strollers are recommended, as they are for any one that really wants to pamper their pooch. Dog strollers are designed with smaller dogs in mind that do not or cannot walk with their owner. These strollers may seem extreme to some people, but they are great options for bonding between owner and pet. Many other animals can also be accommodated by a great pet stroller; dogs are not the only ones getting spoiled.

Your pet may have a condition or may be too overweight to go running with you, but just like you would take your children, you want to take your pet. There is an option of running with your dog that can fit any kind of situation. Dog strollers that are made for small dogs are not that heavy and will add a little resistance training to your work out. Pooches and pups will love the breeze on their face as you push them along during your morning walk or jog. You do not have to exercise to get the stroller out.

Many people choose to walk to the pet store, or their local hang out with Spot in tow. Your dog will feel like the king of the pet store if you go cruising around with this wonderful pet accessory. Some people will argue that your dog should be exercising, but you know that you little guy just needs some pampering and love. Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and if your dog needs to exercise make sure you do not push him everywhere. If your four-legged friend is too big for dog strollers it means he can keep up with you when you are running.

Who wants to push a lumbering 100 pound dog up a hill and back for a morning workout? Let the big dog run alongside you but keep your little guy safe and sound in a dog stroller. You may even find that everything you want to have with you can fit inside a stroller alongside your dog. There never was a better way to protect your belongings than to have your faithful companion sitting on top of them. Push your pup in dog strollers and see how they can improve your lifestyle, and how quickly you will adapt to having them.

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

Not sure I see the appeal of jogging with your dog in a stroller?? I mean it isnt really a bonding experience is it??
Although I do agree that they are great for very elderly dogs or sick ones who might still want to come out but cant walk far. I can still remember coming back from the vets with my stroller containing Hannah the Chiweenie and Gracie the cat after their spays, much more comfy for them!!
Dont discount little dogs capabilites though...my Chihuahuas are only 6Ibs and can easily walk for 10 miles or go jogging with me (if I jogged!!).

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

Why would you push a perfectly healthy dog around? Fair enough an old/sick dog that can't walk far but dogs have 4 paws they can walk. Little dogs can walk far as long as you build it up just like any other dog.

And dogs are not accessories

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

My mum rang me yesterday to look for one on Ebay, she has a very frail 15 year old lurcher who desperatley wants to go for works with mums other 10 year old. Her brain wants more than her legs can do.
We took her on the park friday, dad took the more sprightly 10yr off on a longer walk and Molly the lurcher just stood fast wanting to go with them, bless her she could bearly walk to where she was.

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

I think short term i.e after surgery of some kind, they are a good idea, but when its a permanent thing, thinking a dog would be happy sitting in a pram looking at the sights passing by, we are thinking very much in human terms and not dog.

Re: Dog Strollers – Push Your Pet

imo dogs have 4 legs i don't see the need to put them in a stroller, unless for health issues. I've seen the results of a young boxer being taken for long runs from the age of 12 weeks , poor thing why do so many runners do it?.
