Re: Akita Pup

Hi
The Pup looks so cute!!!!! I don't know a huge amount about the breed but I am pretty sure you really need to put in a lot of effort socialising and training this breed as they can become very aggressive and protective. With the right training and love care and socialising they can become very loving pets. But it will take a lot of effort with training etc on your part. There are a few people on here that can give you advice on this breed I am sure, good luck and keep us updated if you get one!!!

Re: Akita Pup

Shouldn't you read about a certain breed before buying one?

Akita's don't slobber - genrally-
And their ears do prick up when they are adults.

Read up on the breed:P

I understand you wanted questions answered here though :P

Yoshi is a lovely name, and topical too. Have you decided to get him or still thinking it through?

Re: Akita Pup

Hi and Welcome. I do not know much about Akita's apart from they are lovely looking dogs I would not think they slobbered due to the shape of their Muzzle.
I have dogs who have to have upright ears. Puppies ears should eventually go up, during teeething stage they can go up, down and sideways LOL
