Re: police dogs update
Every year, thousands of 'general public' leave their dogs in hot cars, some fatally. (Probably more of those than we will ever know) Yes, this is happening with the police too but it is a people thing, not a police thing! Most handlers love their dogs and have a very close relationship with them - they are not just 'tools' to most. This idiocy is a big problem among the human race in its' entirety and dog handlers should not all be tarred with the same brush IMHO.

Re: police dogs update
perhaps i should explain my point. i am asking the rspca the police and the ipcc did the officer involved break procedural rules by leaving his dogs in his car if so he is solely responsible.or are no procedurel rules laid down by the police.ie when visiting hq should the dogs be removed from private vehicals into kennels or whatever to ensure their welfare.if no such rules are in place i ask who is ultimatly responsible for these deaths and if no regulations are laid down this could happen again.please god never again.
