Bella scared of hoover

for some reason bella seems to be scared of the hoover, the only thing she is scared of whenever i turn it off she runs out the room. i've been trying to overcome her fear, she did really well, was able to sit next to it when on! all with the help of chicken!

Re: Bella scared of hoover

My Bella is also scared of the hoover but she chooses to attack it instead, I could never leave it running if she was alone with it (not that I would have a reason to go out of a room and leave a hoover running), but as long as she isnt attacking it Im happy to let her go out of the room, Im sure she will come round if I give her time and let her decide when shes ok with it.

Re: Bella scared of hoover

We have had our girl five months now, and she used to run and hide under the table, but she is gradually improving and can now be in the same room, still isnt to comfortable if you get right near her with it, but seems comfortable to lay on the chair while you are hoovering nearby, so we are getting better!

Re: Bella scared of hoover

i dont know why she is scared, we have had her since she was a puppy and i dont think she was overly scared then. its not a problem she just goes upstais and then vice verser but dont really want her to feel scared let alone of a hoover so we are tackling it

Re: Bella scared of hoover

Lily don't like the vacuum either! She does not give a diddly squat about anything else but the hoover well she likes to sit on the sofa and watch!

Apparently it is very common for dogs not to like the vacuum - and Lily's breeder I dont think ever used a vacuum - so maybe that could do with the dislike now?
