Lightbulb for novice puppy-owners: Some good resources

2 free books to download, Before U Get Ur Puppy & After U Get Ur Puppy

Free Downloads | Dog Star Daily

these include socialization [a huge topic - 100 people met by 12-WO], habituation [nonliving things],
housetraining & feeding [what goes in must come out], & teaching bite-inhibition - very important!
teaching a pup that humans are extremely delicate & cannot take puppy-roughness prevents problems,
in the future, when the dog is bigger, stronger & has developed potential bad-habits.

the earlier a pup learns something, the easier it is to teach, for us - and learn, for them.
simple foundation behaviors, like happy recalls for play with a toy, or a treat, are the start of good futures.

what resources would U recommend for a new puppy-parent, who hasn't done this before?
