Naturally both these points are merely theoretical. It's highly unlikely either party would take the other to court for £80.
What rubbish. there are often lab fees etc that come up after the initial treatment.

I would pay, they are a business after all and not a charity. If you can't afford the £80, how would you manage if you had a bigger bill and your dog's life depended upon you being able to pay the vet?
