Re: It's raining

Millie had two walks in the rain yesterday! Stupid mum went to walk around the bottom of the Barton hills in her Fit Flops! Then the heavens opened and it was squidge squidge all the way home! Milli actually quite enjoyed herself but upon returning home sat next tot he bath and refused to move - so we had a poochey SPA night :-) Hot bubble bath to recover and she was ready for cudddles on the sofa again :-)

Re: It's raining

Have to say, to me Kenzie does NOT look happy in that first picture! Her eyes seem to be saying "why on earth are we out in this?!" then she perks up again once you're back indoors.

I'm hoping the weather holds as we're planning on letting Izzy have her first ever walk tonight!!!!!She's going to be a right pain in the bottom I can just tell

Re: It's raining

Very cute photos .

It hasn't rained here yet; although the clouds are gathering so I don't think it's too far away....we went out in a downpour last night though .

Re: It's raining

Lovely, bright and sunny here today but I don't expect it will last. Stormy is quite happy to go out in the rain but we have more of a problem with Daisy, we have a hard job to get her to go in the garden, let alone walk, in the rain.

Re: It's raining

I am wondering whether willingness to go out in bad weather or not is to do with the time of year a litter was born. We got Kilo when the weather was cold and hideous (December) and he HAD to go out for toilet training, socialisation right from the first day we had him whatever the weather. He doesn't seem to care what the weather is doing now and will happily go out in the rain.

My friend has the same breed that was born in the summer and refuses to get wet or muddy; she even prances around puddles to avoid getting her paws wet .

Interesting thought. Kenzie came home in late October so we were toilet training etc in winter too (which I will NEVER do again!!!) and she doesn't mind rain or snow, although she doesn't like wind much.
