Re: How long do you leave your dog?

I can leave Daisie on her own and she is fine, however the max. time I have left her is about three hours. I would not have been alowed to have my dog if I had worked and if I had to leave her for a day I would put her in the doggy day care at my local kennels.

Re: How long do you leave your dog?

I'm at Uni at the moment, so when we get our Siberian Husky he'll only be left on his own for approximately 2.5-3 hours, as I'm generally only in for 2 hours, except on a Tuesday when I'm unfortunately in from 10-4. I'm only really 15 minutes up the road though, so I'll probably come home during lunch to let him out and give him some love before shooting back up to Uni. Will be quite a bit of messing about, but totally worth it!

I can't, I'm so excited! He's just 5 weeks now, we're going to go down and visit him again this week, can't wait to see him! Was showing my Mum pictures the other day, I think she wants me to bring them all home, lol!

Re: How long do you leave your dog?

Meg is left for around 5 hours, sometimes longer.

She stays in the conservatory, and the door is wedged open, so she has the run of the garden and a nice comfy bed inside to sleep on.

Re: How long do you leave your dog?

I have never left my "dogs at home alone", it was something I wasn't prepared to do, so my Mum-in-law, was the dog sitter for many years, and there are lots of doggie companies who for a fee will come and let your dog out and even walk them for you, while you are at work, but I could never leave them, but thats my opinion. My O/H hears dogs howling and barking all day, from dogs who have been left on their own for very long hours, a short time is fine.
