Re: The British Bulldog

The Victorian Bulldogs are lovely and as they are healthier its a wonder they arent more popular!

I know which one I'd go for!

Re: The British Bulldog

I like them but so many people round where I live have them and they have them as replacement weapons and for status. I dont want to be judged that way. Also they need quite a bit of exercise I heard

Re: The British Bulldog

lol

I dont hate it however I have had a dog before and that needed a lot and I remember not being able to give it the amount it needed. I also would not like to have a dog that needed exercise that I could nto give it so I would prefer to get a dog that I know I can can exercise and if I can provide it more then I can but the amount it needs wont be more than I can give it. Do you understand what I mean? I am only 14. There could be changes in my life and I would hate for my mum to end up looking after a dog that she cant proivde exercise for.

Re: The British Bulldog

hun, if you are able to do 1/2 hr a day and a longer walk at the weekends I think you will be fine...

It's only really big dogs and working type breeds that need tonnes of exercise.

Every dog will need a walk a day whether that be short or long, whatever breed it is

Re: The British Bulldog

Oh this is sounding good then

I am going to ask my mum to have a look at the breed and do her own research so that she knows more about the breed as I want her to judge it for herself, she might see something that worries her or she does not like that I have not! But this dog is sounding wonderful for us!

Re: The British Bulldog

I just went onto another forum because I want to get a broad view and they said that these bulldogs are more energetic and would need more exercise, or can take on a lot. This is worying me as I really dont want to get a dog I can not manage I just want to find the right breed and it not coming. I know I have to be patient buit i have spent months and months researching and I cant seem to pinpoint which one to get.

What is an ayelstone bulldog - there was one advertised on some site. IO looked them up and could not really see a difference to dorset olde tyme bulldog
