Re: sigh...
Did you get the breeders name and number? I would call them and give them a piece of my mind!
The kind of a person who would buy a crossbreed for £1000 is the kind that has no sense and only care about what people think of them. I bet they tell everyone the dog cost £1000. They aren't mongrels though. A mongrel is a dog who has atleast one parent who is a crossbreed. A crossbreed is a dog who's parents are purebreeds. |

Re: sigh...
Some people must really have more money than sense as the old saying goes. I paid less altogether for my three pedigree Border Collies from excellent working lines than they paid for just one of their mutts. I have nothing against crossbreeds, I've owned numerous in the past, mainly from rescue but it is beyond me why any thinks it is acceptable to breed for profit.
I always thought a cross breed was a dog from two purebred parents of differnet breeds and a mongrel was a dog of unknown origin or that has more than two breeds in it. I hate the term designer dogs. Every dog was designed at some point, including all our now pedigree breeds but the way they use the term now just seems to be to add value to a standard crossbreed, there is little or no design involved other than thinking of a rediculous name. |

Re: sigh...
Ah okay, I thought the term cross breed was for a dog born from two pedigrees of differing breed, but that "mongrel" still covered all dogs of mixed breed, be they crossbreed or multi-crossed!! I feel a lil silly now. Not as silly as that woman should feel though! £1000! Jesus...
