Has anyone used one of the DAP Collar's?

They suppose to calm your dog down making them feel more secure.

Yes, our breeder reccomended them for stressfull situations. We bought one for Daisie when we bought her home, she settled easily and slept through the night. It would help calm dogs who are frightened of fireworks too I would imagine. Marvelous things.

Have you thought of trying a few drops of Rescue Remedy to calm him a bit. Was it you who said you were feeding Bakers, ( sorry cant remember who it was) if so that's not going to help with his hyper behaviour

Just read the 'Puppy food' thread so I was right about the Bakers Very glad you are now feeding a better brand.

I've not tried the collar but I've tried the plug-in diffuser for Gabby around Bonfire fortnight (well, that's how long it seems to last around here, anyway!). Sorry to say it had no effect whatsoever.

I have never used one Darren, but a few of my clients swear by the plug in diffusers for cats. Why are you asking by the way?

They seem to widely recommended by vets and I am sure you will receive some good feedback from the forum

Thanks for the reply.

The reason why i was asking was because i need to go back to work in 2-3 weeks and Monty will be on his own 3 days a week. We have been trying to get him used to his own company by leaving him in the kitchen for 10 minutes at a time but he barks and cries and doesn't stop

That's a good start Darren. There are lots of little things you can do for him such as leaving a radio on, giving him some educational toys (kongs are very good since you can put some of his daily food allowance in them).

I would also try a DAP's since as far I know they are pretty inexpensive, and if they work, all the better. Best of luck

Hmmm we may give it a shot then... Probably get the DAP Collar from pet planet. Are they all the same?
