Lesson learned!

Well I learned a valuable lesson the other day - as Rocky is so small, even puppy collars were too big for him so I got him a cat collar. A couple of time the collar came off but we were in the house, so I didn't think about it but when we went out walking the other day it came off when he tugged at the lead and we were near a road - fortunately a quiet one - he went dashing all around the place and I was terrified of a car coming along. The thing that stopped him was that I have taught him to sit by the car door whilst I open it to let him in and as I had opened my car door, he eventually stopped running around and went to sit by the door to wait for me to pick him up!!!

It was only after this happened that I suddenly realised that cat collars have the in-built safety of coming off if tugged hard so that if cat gets the collar stuck under a hedge or fence the collar comes off so the cat doesn't get strangled!!

So needless to say Rocky now has his puppy collar on (still a little loose but he's grown a bit so fits him well enough so it won't come off) and we have learned a valuable lesson!!!

I was terrified he would get squished by a car only weeks after our poor lovely Chewie (cat) got run over

We did that with a material one and it went all frayed at the end............ and he he kept chewing it - I am happy with his puppy collar now he is a bit bigger, it won't come off his head!
