Dog Agility

Hi
I have a Border Collie Puppy Beau, he is now about 4 1/2 months old (my how time flies) and I would ideally like to get him into agility.
How do I start this with him - I know because of his bones growing he cant do full agility training yet - but are there any other comands I can teach him or actvities. He knows sit, lie, up, come here, paw and shake - he struggles with stay but we're working on it as well as roll over. Any other ideas greatly appreciated?

Re: Dog Agility

Hi , I wondered if you take Beau to training classes. Our dog has done Bronze and is now doing silver. They need to be able to follow commands and walk to heel. Also a good down stay and instant stop is needed and they need to ignore other dogs. Daisie is not good at this . But there is plenty of time as she is only 6 months yet. Our trainer does agility and takes dogs from one year. Hope this has been usefull.
