lhasa's and shittys were bred as indoor guard dogs by the tibetian monks many years ago.. hence the "big dog" attitude.

I've got lhasas and none of them are confrontational with other dogs, they do bark when someone comes to the house but are never nasty, they just want to have a sniff and will then wander off.
