Good luck.

Why are some people so negative when others ask a simple question sorry if I have took this the wrong way.
We picked up Dora on Monday and I have to say no way will I be giving her milk of any kind. I think the only animal that drinks milk after it is weaned is humans, and we don't need it
Dora is 8 weeks and is having two meals of soaked RC Mini Junior with a small amount of raw minced lamb ( human quality) and another of RC without the lamb plus water at all times.
Her breeder did say to put down dry RC at all times as well, what would others do? I would rather feed meals at regular time that way I can tell how much she is eating.

Mary
Personally I am not a dry food fan - I would have fed BARF but the risks with my girl surring from AI (lost age four) were too great - The best wet food I have found by far is Naturediet - quite expensire but purchased bulk from the wholesalers considerable savings can be made.

Re: What age to introduce water.

Hi, dont worry you are not doing any thing wrong, my last dog was a rescue and wouldnt drink water unless it was slightly coloured with milk. This may seem strange but she was given milk to drink by her previous owner.
Just dilute the milk with more and more water so that in the end you are just colouring it as we did. I used to buy the small cartons of dog milk from Tescos.

Re: What age to introduce water.

We introduced our little puppy into water as soon as we were sure that he will not get a cold. Do not push to hard though ... the puppy needs to experience water slowly in the pace he likes. Take it easy and slow and all will be fine.

I don't give mine any sort of milk, think your getting me confused with the person who started the thread as her dog is also called Poppy.
