I got my puppy from a breeder not a puppy farm. The breeder said she gives her goats milk so this is what I have been giving her. Its been a long time since I had a puppy and like you said he was already on water when i got him but he was 10 weeks old. So I was just asking when I should start to wean her off it. I will start to offer her water now just wanted what was best for her.

My dog is 3 years old and he has a little drink of goats milk every now and again.

Thanks this is all new to me been 18 years since I last had a puppy. I going to start her off with a little milk mixed with water then reduce it that way. Its just that you hear of some puppies staying with Mum till they are 10 weeks old so they most still get milk off Mum this is why I asked the question.

Thanks for your help

Re: What age to introduce water.

my puppies have been on water since 4 weeks u need to give water as well as milk or your puppy will be gettin dehydrated as milk is more like a meal than a drink. try just colouring the water with the milk so she will drik and slowly reducing it if she wont drink water straight away

Re: What age to introduce water.

Surely this kind of information should have been gained before bringing pup home.
