any tips will be helpfull please

Im having home check done next week, then im going to see Bobbin the little Staffy im taking Tess with me, i have posted a pic of him but i really want everything to go well as this little boy is gurting himself in kennles and really needs a loving home.

What would you suggest i do when i take tess there to meet him cos i dont wnat things to go wrong is there anything at all i can do to try make them get on any tips you would do to itroduce her to him, i could be totally wrong and she could be great with him but i really want him and he really needs us to give him a loving home.

try introducing them on leads first then if anything goes wrong theres 2 people ad you can separate them easily

Yes they will both be on leads but i just dont want anything to go wrong and when i introduce her to dog usally i dont tense up cos that makes it worse but im reall frightend of tensing up cos i no i want things to go right it might be me who makes things worse cos i need her to be ok and im going to be on edge.

its a shame they havent got a place u can put them opposite sides of a fence/big cage oflead...just to see how they would react together wivout the leads...and away they cant get at eachoher...

maybe they have??? and u could try that....then if alls ok, then see wat they are like face to face on lead...and go from ther...that way u will ave an idea of their onlead offlead reactions at eachother.

Its always good when two dogs are meeting for the first time, to do so on neutral territory.

If you are re homing him, you should be supervised by the staff. They should be there to offer advice and oversee the introduction.

Thanks guys, i no Tess and she is a good little dog and of lead will be better im just scared she may snap at him first but i no i can get them both right i have got her some many friends in this past year from wanting to kill them and im so relaxed when she meets dogs, but im not taking them dogs home with me and i was just scared il try to hard and balls it up, but i will take my time take plaenty treats like gillie said and stay calm

Thanks hun so do i for Bobbins sake poor thing, hes been moved to some more kennels were he gets very little exercise now and he hurts himself in kennels he was dumped and was on deathrow till they saved him and he was going to be rehomed and it fell through i dont no why but i dont care if everything goes ok and he comes to me and hes naughty well so be it, it will just mean pleanty of trainging cos im not sending him back he will be with me for life, so hows you doing got owt planned for the weekend

You have got same attitude as me but ive had all mine from pups as ive got 3 children...my stella(staffie) was a naughty pup and alot harder to train than my cavs but we got there in the end and ive got a say she is still livelybut in a nice way lol
