Coyotes driving me crazy

Tis the season, the coyotes are calling all night. I can't let the little sheltie out by herself cause they are sneeky little beggers. A guy down the street let his toy white poodle out in his back yard (he shouldn't have let her out by herself it's not even fully fenced) and she never came back the coyotes got her they were laying in wait. I love the coyotes, people just need to respect they are wild animals and are only doing what is natural for them it makes me so mad.So if you live in coyote country keep your dog leashed after sunset Please, and yes they will follow you and try to entice your dog to come over...Jill

Re: Coyotes driving me crazy

I cant even walk on Jasper my own anymore because of the street dogs , just the odd one or two guarding there terortory ( spelling ? )( there owners home ) and barking is fine but when you have wild packs of 8 dogs roaming the streets ...

I hate it.

sorry about your neighbors poodle x

Re: Coyotes driving me crazy

No they are usually a timid animal but will follow you in the bushes and call your dog. They are pack animals one calls then they attack, small animals cats, dogs, rabbits, mice sometimes they go after deer. Humans are usually safe but I wouldn't go looking for them...Jill
