Re: James Wellbeloved?
I feed mine on burns just changed to it, tess not very keen so i add some tuna, reason i changed was because the food i was giving her was high in protein and shes a hyper dog anyway my trainer told me to try burns.

Re: James Wellbeloved?
Both my dogs did great on Jameswellbeloved before we changed over to the BARF diet.
Is your breeder only feeding them 3 times a day? Because up until 12 weeks old they should really be on 4 meals a day. It is OK to make the change over, but it is usually advised to stick with what the breeder has been doing for a week or so (after all leaving their mum and litter mates is stressful enough, without changing their food too) and then make the gradual change over, over the course of a week or 2 so that the pup doesn't suffer from an upset stomach

Re: James Wellbeloved?
We currently have our cats on James Wellbeloved as it is the only dry food they will eat.
Our young dog (just over 6 1/2 months old), however, is on Arden Grange since it has no additives or preservaties and he seems to enjoy it along with some wet food to taste ![]() |

Re: James Wellbeloved?
Yes JWB does tend to be lower in protein than other brands, to be honest (and I will stand corrected) I don't think their is much between Burns & JWB in protein. Being owned by Dalmatians we always have to ensure we feed low protein to help prevent urinate stones forming and Burns & JWB are the main 2 that get reccommended to us as a breed.

Re: James Wellbeloved?
My two are on James Wellbeloved, one on the senior stuff and the other on the adult stuff, and I've had no problems with it at all. My border collie used to have problems with, well, can't think of any other way to put it..... runny poo
. Haven't had a single problem since introducing James Wellbeloved about 3 months ago.I'd recommend you gradually add it to the diet, though, phasing out the old food, rather than one sudden change, or her wee tummy might object and nobody wants that ![]() |
