Tilly the teacup Yorkie

Just been to visit a friend who has just bought a teacup sized Yorkshire terrier called Tilly. She`s only 9 weeks old bless her. I`ve also attached a piccy of her new friend Holly the Jack Russell.

There's no such thing as a 'teacup yorkie' it is probably the runt of the litter.

Also, Yoprkies are such a small breed anyway, they shouldn't leave the breeder until at least 12 weeks old. Does your friend realise this? She'll need to be careful with the pup for a few weeks.

Should all small breeds stay with the breeder for longer then? I didn't know this.

I think it's only the very small ones, such as Yorkies, Poms etc. As they are so small as pups they are more at risk of problems such as hypothermia etc.

Not just small breeds like JRT's, Poodles etc, although I may be wrong.

grrrr i hate that term tea-cup but have to say pup is well cute! now the fun starts...hehe
my pups leave around 9/10 weeks

I also hate to "Tea-Cup" term, How much did they pay for this "Tea-Cup" yorky ? I have a very small Papillon. I am allways asked how much I want to sell her for She was given to me when she was 6 months old and had not grown.
