Re: Pedigree Dogs on BBC
It always amazes me how people get dogs and then consider breed traits
I've lost count of the times I've read 'my Rott barks when people come to the house/go past the gate/postie comes etc etc etc' - HELLO - they are known for their guarding nature - same thing with Border Collies, by the very nature of their breed, over many many years, it is inbred to herd, and by doing so they can nip heels - of course such behaviour has to be modified in the pet home but is this the kind of thing that people describe as 'aggressive'????I'll always defend any breed that comes in for a slating - as we all know ANY dog can be aggressive given the right circumstances - or should that be the wrong circunstances D
